When President Barack Obama addressed religious leaders at the National Prayer Breakfast last week, he singled out a longtime Chicago activist and nonprofit leader working on the city’s Southwest Side.

Obama had met Rami Nashashibiexecutive director of Inner-City Muslim Action Network, earlier in the week at a mosque in Baltimore…. His organization also has been instrumental in a project to build a memorial to King in Marquette Park, where the civil rights leader marched in 1966….
