50 years of Civil Rights – Where are We Now?
Leading the PAC will explore Chicago’s progress in education, jobs and community safety and engage perspectives from the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors to discuss this timely and relevant topic. With leaders in thought and action from across the region we will examine the realities that young people face today as compared to 50 years ago when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. came to Chicago and inspired the Chicago Freedom Movement.
